HCN is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Collier County on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. HCN has been providing primary care to underserved patients for over 40 years.We provide comprehensive, integrated primary care to more than 50,000 patients at 21 clinic sites throughout the county with more than 75 practitioners. Services include pediatrics, family and internal medicine, an HIV/AIDS treatment program, geriatrics, women's care, dental, and integrated behavioral health. Job Summary:
This role works closely with the Controller to drive business value by supporting operations and finance in the analysis of financial and operational data, as well as proactive identification of process improvement opportunities and applying analytical and critical thinking to generate innovative and practical solutions to Finance and Operations. This role develops a deep understanding of the organization's integrated software programs which include Athena, Blackbaud, Denticon, Mckession, ADP and any other software. Proactively partners with leaders to identify process improvements through proactive analysis of key trends and rigorous data analysis to support improved business results.Responsibilities and Standards: * Develops tools that can provide the access and information necessary to collaborate and share information for the purposes of program evaluation, planning and accountability to the funding agency. * Executes effectiveness analysis using best informatics practices and presents results to the stakeholders. * Participates in the development of clinical and financial informatics protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics; and works to assure compliance with regulations. * Delivers presentations and reports to stakeholders. * Conducts data analysis, as requested. * Performs ad hoc analysis in support of various process improvements as requested * Maintains effective, consistent communication with all stakeholders; conducts analysis for monthly operational performance data.   • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university. Management, Finance, Accounting or similar degree preferred. * At least five (5) years of progressive Revenue Cycle operations management, consulting and/or project management experience. * Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as time management and organizational skills. * Self-directed with the ability to work with various stakeholders and teams. * Ability to make quality, independent decisions, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other leaders. * Superior project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. * Licenses and Certifications: None * Communication

Provides assistance with Medicaid application process and maintains contact with regulating agencies and appropriate HCN departments regarding patient eligibility and status of Medicaid application. Responsibilities and Standards Effectively advises patients of financial obligations and options for payment of medical expenses. Initiates weekly tracking for obstetrics patients at 36 weeks of gestation. * Maintains weekly contact with patient via excel spreadsheet and daily review of women's health patient schedule for the maximum allowed time span of three (3) months after the birth of the baby or emergency to ensure patient compliance. * Completes and faxes hospital admission registration forms and financial forms at 24 weeks of gestation. * Maintains open communication with hospital financial personnel to facilitate financial assistance for patients. * Assists patients with explanation of Medicaid benefits and processing of bills incurred at time of pregnancy and/or delivery. * Maintains Communication with patients that have delivered their babies and have pending Medicaid applications. * Follows up on pending applications and assists with obtaining needed information to ensure Medicaid applications approval. * Monitors pediatric patient schedules to ensure all PKU (newborn) patients are seen by PFES New Born Specialists to gather and complete information required for emergency/ongoing Medicaid benefits. * Completes PEPW (presumptive eligibility for Pregnant Women) for patients within the 1st trimester of pregnancy via paper application and FL System. After PEPW expires a MY Access account must be created for patient. A copy of login information should be given to patient. All information should be documented in Athena quickview and Excel spreadsheet. * Obtains a signed release from patient after delivery and faxes release to NCH Billing Office to obtain 203 forms. Researches patients' status in the FLORIDA Medicaid system * Works to ensure proper matching of patient demographic information so that Medicaid applications for the birth or other pregnancy related emergency are accurate. * Processes, registers, documents, and submits Medicaid applications to DCF personnel for approval of emergency Medicaid benefits and maintains contact with DCF to ensure patient compliance for approval. Maintains Logs/Database and routinely follows up on pending applications * Documents application approvals or denials in database in Athena and Excel spreadsheet. * Logs emergency Medicaid applications in Athena and Excel spreadsheet when completed. * Logs PEPW Medicaid applications in Athena and Excel spreadsheet when completed. * Effectively maintains and updates patient excel spreadsheet for timely completion of emergency Medicaid applications. Communicates and faxes information to appropriate parties. * Faxes Medicaid approvals to the hospital, providers, and to the patient assistance organization at the hospital in a timely manner. * Faxes any newborn information to DCF for the purpose of activating Medicaid coverage for newborns born to mothers with full Medicaid coverage during pregnancy. * Faxes notification of newborns with Medicaid coverage to the HCN billing department to ensure proper billing for HCN office visits. * Notifies HCN billing department of those newborns who need to be set at self pay for reason of Medicaid denial. Assists HCN departments in verifying Medicaid and/or Food Stamps eligibility. Safeguards patient confidentiality per policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned.
