Basic Function

The Financial Systems & Transformation Manager owns, implements, and maintains all systems requirements related to SB Energy's budgeting and forecasting architecture using the Vena Solutions Software. Under the direction of the Senior Director of FP&A, the incumbent will work with various department leads to understand business needs and deliver timely and accurate data-driven solutions to support the decision-making process. This individual will play a pivotal role in automating workflows to support SB Energy's monthly reporting and annual budgeting processes as well as ensuring the data output is highly reliable and consistent. Sound judgment, ingenuity, excellent problem solving, organizational skills and a proactive attitude will position the successful candidate to have a rewarding opportunity with our fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

The Systems & Transformation Manager's duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Create and maintain scripts in SQL queries for stored procedures.

• Maintain hierarchies, queries and ETL processes.

• Maintain a complex and changing data model that keeps pace with the evolving business.

• Ensure continuity in data flows and keep financial reporting systems updated accordingly.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance report content and timeliness.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive data-informed report criteria.

• Act as the primary owner and contact for FP&A systems design changes, proactively managing relevant requirements and positioning the business for significant growth.

• Build intuitive and scalable templates and reports for consolidation.

• Build live and interactive dashboards to summarize business operations.

• Drive efficiency and value-added solutions through systems design and automation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Finance or Accounting.

• 5-7 years' experience in a technical role with a background in some combination of IT, Accounting and Financial Operations

• Extensive experience with ERP's and planning tools; Vena, NetSuite, Unifier, or similar.

• Fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including experience with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.

• Renewable energy experience strongly preferred, including direct exposure to financial modeling and HLBV accounting.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with ETL systems.

• Experience in designing and maintaining complex data models.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to understand issues with a "big-picture" business perspective.

• Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

• Proven ability to produce high quality work under deadlines.

• Team player with strong initiative.

• Proven ability to work autonomously and navigate problems using sound logic and reasoning to deliver clear results.

• Willingness to dive in and take ownership, both leading and supporting the design process.

Location: Redwood City, CA (San Francisco Bay Area) is strongly preferred; hybrid in office/remote work set up.

Base Pay - $130,000 - 145,000

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, certifications, specific work location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Base pay may vary per location due to differences in the cost of living.

The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual discretionary bonus, full Health & Wellness Benefits package, generous Long Term Incentive plan designed with our partnership mentality in mind, and other applicable incentive perks as outlined in any formal offer made. The final compensation package will be discussed with the candidate during the final stages of the hiring process.
