The Financial Systems Training Specialist is instrumental in establishing a training methodology to be used across Financial Affairs to consistently offer the best learning approaches to enhance professional knowledge and skills. The incumbent should be adaptable in addressing constant emerging technologies and challenges. Assists in standardizing business processes and documentation; develops and provides training to the campus community. Conducts training in the classroom setting and one on one by appointment. Keeps training materials current and relevant on anything related to Peoplesoft Financials, PeopleTools and related systems. Assists the Business Process Administrator with process improvements in preparation for emerging technology, focusing on aligning workflows and processes with standardized higher education business practices. Documents current procedures; participate in projects that will result in learning and training within Financial Affairs on any new software or application. Performs special projects as assigned by the Director of Financial Systems and Technology. Acts as a back-up to the Business Process Administrator. Functions as a back-up trouble-shooter for issues related to Virtual Workspace, Nvision reporting, Salesforce Case Management, TouchNet Marketplace and issues related to the GL.
Bachelor's degree and three years of general experience with business services, analysis of processes and process improvements.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects, work as a part of a team, as well as work independently, perform functional tasks, communicate effectively and be proactive with follow-up.
Solid resource and time management skills are also required.
Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Strong overall technical abilities to be able to coordinate, set up and troubleshoot training facilities and equipment.
General knowledge of various training software.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials.
