Position Purpose
The Financial Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial systems while leading automation initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting and finance teams. This role serves as the focal point and business system owner, partnering with Information Solutions in supporting the financial close process, planning activities, costing, and understanding data flow and integrity. The Financial Systems Manager exercises strong analytical skills in identifying and prioritizing system initiatives. Although this position is listed as Manteca, CA. this position is open for remote candidates and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Functional Responsibility
Manages the day-to-day operations of the function
Leads in a constructive manner by example; demonstrates and encourages a strong work ethic and fosters an environment of trust and respect
Develops and aligns individual goals with the department's operational goals; ensures that decisions, actions, and priorities are aligned with the company's vision, mission, and strategies
Researches best practices, stays abreast of industry trends, and maintains awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continually improve operations
Contributes to the preparation of the departmental budget and monitors spending
Provides immediate feedback and directly assists team to maintain level of productivity and deliver daily results
Supports change initiatives and company decisions in an effective manner
Fosters a work environment that encourages creative thinking, promotes flexibility, and drives innovation
Immediately informs management of employee issues, concerns, and complaints in an objective and confidential manner
Ensures compliance and consistent application of company policies, initiatives, and decisions
Essential Duties
Manages operations of financial systems providing necessary support to the accounting team while driving system optimization solutions
Coordinates alignment and use of standardized reporting technologies for accounting and finance to ensure consistent understanding of data for decision making
Identifies opportunities to integrate and consolidate inventory and costing source systems and related processes
Performs detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system recommendations
Streamlines existing business processes while working with users to identify areas of improvement, create functional and technical requirements for changes and provide relevant training
Prepares functional specifications to support the technical resources in configuring changes to source systems
Identifies gaps, issues, and work around solutions in line with sustainable and reliable practices
Analyzes new opportunities to proactively leverage SAP and other technologies across the accounting and finance organization in an effort to improve business processes

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $87,806.88 to $137,307.36. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
