The team:

Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to grow as rapidly and efficiently as possible.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a Financial Systems Analyst with a functional background and a solid understanding of financial processes, especially in Netsuite. You will be working in an open environment with a diverse group of passionate and brilliant people. You will solve complex business problems and deliver a world-class service to our customers and stakeholders.

You will:

  • Design and implement quality solutions using Netsuite's native functionality, Workflows, and Suitebuilder

  • Reason around complexity and scalability of custom solutions and integrations

  • Manage end to end enhancement projects with stakeholders across finance, G&A and other departments

  • Troubleshoot process, application and functional issues, and manage these through to resolution

  • Train and guide our NetSuite end-users

  • Grow your technical and functional expertise in NetSuite and auxiliary SaaS systems

Requirements:

  • Job Specific:

  • Functional experience with financial processes in NetSuite

  • A good understanding of databases and SQL language

  • Basic understanding of the system integration capabilities in Netsuite with various SaaS providers including: Expensify, Blackline, Salesforce

  • Proven track record of delivery

  • Minimum 2 years experience working on ERP platforms in a multi-entity organization

  • Soft Skills:

  • Comfortable discussing accounting impacts across process areas

  • Excellent investigation and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to build sound relationships and clearly communicate expectations with team members and finance stakeholders

  • Experience with influencing strategy, tactics and execution

  • Growth mindset and excited about learning new things

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field is required

Bonus points:

  • NetSuite Certified Developer/Administrator or Consultant preferred

  • Public Company/Audit/SOD and SOX Experience a plus

Job Description Summary Reporting to the Manager, Financial Systems you will have joint responsibility for the administration of existing Oracle EPM Cloud applications as well as key new application/business process developments and enhancements. The role combines both administrative tasks supporting a large team of analysts in the finance department and operations, as well as project work to expand system usage and add functional efficiency. Working with a small team of Oracle experts you will have the opportunity to use all components of Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase, whilst as the same time leveraging your financial analyst experience to support and guide an extensive user community across multiple global markets. Primary Responsibilities: * Jointly oversee and administer full suite of Oracle EPM Cloud products including Planning, Essbase, Financial Consolidation Cloud Service, Profitability and Cost Management, Enterprise Data Management, Data Management, Financial Reports and Smart View. * Maintain metadata updates and data loads; monitor data load batch processes and troubleshoot unmapped data kickouts; load data on demand as required. * Manage controls ensuring consistency of data in EPM to ERP (General Ledger) * Ensure data movement between alternate applications/databases is fully reconciled. * Work with development teams on new interfaces to other financial systems as the need arises. * Create, maintain and run complex business rules and validate the results through reconciliation. * Support finance users with financial report modifications, spreadsheet modelling using Smart View, customized data entry screens/dashboards using data forms and new report requirements. * Work with other Financial Analysts and the Financial Systems team identifying new requirements; participate in the building and testing of new system solutions and subsequent roll out. * Maintain global user access security through groups. * Conduct user training on all elements of the Oracle EPM Cloud product suite and maintain user documentation, ensuring up-to-date guides for current system usage. * Manage and monitor in-house backups and data archiving. * Administer planning process controls and workflow by building appropriate tasks, menus, data forms and reports within Oracle EPM Cloud. * Control close process through data locking and archiving. * Work with external consultants on new requirements ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer from development to go-live and subsequent roll out to user community. Skills & Qualifications: * Demonstrated ability to establish and build solid relationships with financial systems users. * Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate support of an extensive network of global finance teams. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and with changing priorities. * Finance and IT background with some project management experience. * Superior attention to detail with highly effective organizational and analytical skills. * 5+ years of analytical accounting/finance experience, Bachelor degree. * Minimum 3 years of Financial Systems experience required with Hyperion Planning, Essbase and related products including MS Office Excel. * Preferable experience using Oracle EPM Cloud solutions. * Quick learner and self-motivated to work with minimum supervision.
