Job Description:

  • Lead finance and accounting special projects to align with corporate objectives. Development and management of overall project plan: project milestones; scope analysis and risk management; and resolution. Full cycle systems implementation experience
  • Perform the following on an engagement: understand business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of testing systems, assist the business in testing the Workday solution.
  • Be comfortable and confident with gathering configuration requirements and problem- solving with business stakeholders
  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday payroll configuration through hands on training to cross-functional teams
  • Provide a proactive interface between Payroll client groups to ensure effective coordination and delivery of Workday implementations.
  • Assist internal team ensure data accuracy and seamless ongoing enhancements of new system features and functionality including US Payroll, Time Tracking and features; be the primary point of contact for data gathering, testing, and communication with key stakeholders and internal Financial Systems teams.
  • Build reports to support payroll, labor, group finance and billing, etc
  • Ability to be problem solve and propose multiple solutions for business requirements within Payroll and Time tracking.
  • Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a variety of tasks and goals.
  • Provide and manage ongoing production support and support system enhancements and upgrades that includes subject matter expertise, coordinate schedule, define test strategy and implementation timeline, and project manage to completion.
  • Lead full cycle testing and implementation of system upgrades and patches/hotfixes
  • Work across departments to define opportunities for improvement. Provide technical and functional support for accounting and finance users.
  • Establishes best practices for systems use and ensures that these practices are used throughout the organization

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Financial Systems Management/Analysis/Engineering
  • Strong experience with UltiPro Financial Management and UltiPro Payroll
  • Knowledge of GAAP and government contract accounting principles and FAR.
  • Strong Project Management skills required and PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint is required.
  • Proven ability to lead/manage multiple projects/work streams simultaneously.

Nice to haves

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years of finance/ accounting including payroll relevant experience, including data analytics and systems analysis. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to work with government contractors which includes knowledge of applicable federal laws and regulations (SCA, DCAA, etc.).
  • Proficiency with vendor management, financial systems Deltek (Costpoint), IBM Cognos and TM1.

VIEW JOBS 10/2/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-31T00:00 The Agresso Financial Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing direction regarding the implementation and ongoing management of finance technology systems to Save the Children's internal and external interest groups including SCI/SCA entities, USPA, Head Start, and other associated legal entities, as well as SCUS-based finance-centric departments. You will be responsible for business process improvements utilizing technology and leading finance technology initiatives for multiple business units. You will work within the IT department to further the strategic goal of promoting off-the-shelf software solutions and will confer with department heads, key staff, or outside consultants to develop detailed understanding of user needs for departments or groups of departments and manage all phases of the process. What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties) Leading initiatives for IT providing business analysis and developing technical solutions: 70% * Managing technology analysis projects and participating and/or leading associated project meetings * Researching and analyzing business systems and business processes including recommending process improvement and system modifications to meet business objectives * Identifying and implementing technology solutions while following established change control and project management methodologies * Investigating, defining, and documenting business requirements and developing technical, design, and workflow specifications * Leading and performing configuration and workflow changes, and testing the implementation of configurations and other technical and business process changes * Creating initial documentation and training ensuring established best practices are followed * Partnering and managing project schedule and deliverables with developers and 3rd party vendors where applicable on project solutions * Configuring and testing solutions created as a result of responding to project requests * Adhering to change management and project management best practices * Managing and communicating the analysis process Subject Matter Expert - 10% * Serving as a subject matter expert with different areas of the Agresso system and business based on experience and expertise of implemented technology solutions * Testing system upgrades and enhancements as related to technology and business expertise Support - 20% * Providing advanced and backup support for areas of subject matter expertise in partnership with the IT Application Support and IT Development teams * Performing other job duties as may be required Required Qualifications * Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience * 7-10 years related finance software experience * Demonstrated proficiency in Agresso with advanced independent experience and management of system configuration, workflow management, and project management. * Possess proficient financial systems understanding. * Proficiency in MS-SQL database administration and SQL programming * Proficient in MS Office, in particular Excel and Access, experience in building & running queries and macros * Demonstrated analytical skills and keen ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements * Demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple competing priorities * Proven ability to be organized, proactive, results-oriented, and hands-on, with excellent story-telling, problem solving and customer service skills * Proven proficient professional verbal and written communication skills in English * Proven ability to work independently with users and lead projects through to successful completion Why you should join the Save the Children Team… Save the Children US offers outstanding benefits that include health, dental, vision and life insurances, pet insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, an Employee Assistance Program, 403(b), generous vacation, personal sick leave, family leave, parental/adoption leave, commuter benefits, dress for your day, and much more.
