The Financial Services Analyst provides analytical and administrative support to Financial Services that includes but is not limited to audit analysis, store count reconciliations, Business Unit Review preparations, and quarterly financial consolidations & reporting. Responsible for data reports and meeting preparation for the weekly Finance Committee and resolve all outstanding issues. Plan, prepare and reconcile periodic and annual audits and generate and disseminate reports to appropriate individuals or departments. This position will handle confidential and proprietary information and appropriate handling is required. The position will act with discretion and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze performance data and provide intelligent synthesis, interpretation and appropriate action plans based on conclusions.

  • Review requests from Franchise Services, Legal, Finance, and Real Estate for review by the Finance Committee. Requests may include growth requests, new franchisee candidates, lease renewals, new sites and contracts.

  • Record and compiles minutes for Finance Committee and address all follow up items. Update database with all submitted proposals and resolutions.

  • Ensure annual audits are scheduled and results reconciled. Act in a liaison role with internal and external auditors for domestic and international audits. Serve as initial contact during audits with external auditing firms.

  • Compile Business Unit Review (BUR) books for all LCE related companies each period.

  • Develop regular reporting on metrics and provide ongoing recommendations based on data.

  • Reconcile chain wide store count report as directed and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare LCE quarterly financial statements and consolidations in audited format.

  • Design and prepare analytical reports on a routine or adhoc basis for IHI, Tax, and senior Management.

  • Perform some administrative functions to support the Financial Services team.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or comparable experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' varied experience in Finance or Accounting. Demonstrated experience with financial data analysis in a corporate environment.

  • Working knowledge of accounting functions, including payables, receivables, and general ledger (GL) systems.

  • Evidence of ability to analyze data, extract desired financial information and generate accurate and appropriate reports.

  • Proficiency with using reporting software (i.e. Infinium).

  • Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation communication skills, with ability to explain technical financial terminology to a wide audience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted financial/accounting policies, procedures and systems.

  • Established relationship-building skills with evidence of ability to work with a variety of internal and external people (colleagues, auditors, management, etc.).

  • Evidence of highly developed computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and financial systems, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Proof of ability to prioritize work and manage multiple, concurrent projects.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience with budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring
