Position Description:

This position is responsible for providing a best in class customer experience while assisting new and existing customers through needs based conversations and providing appropriate solutions to meet their immediate, short term and long term financial needs. This position travels to multiple branch locations to fill critical staffing needs, which requires a high degree of flexibility during open hours of all branches in the region.

Position Accountabilities

  • Provide excellent customer experience

  • Build customer relationships through needs based conversations

  • Identity and close sales opportunities to contribute to personal and branch goals

  • Perform basic customer and cash transactions

  • Balance cash each day

  • Participate in sales outreach strategies including outbound calling

  • Promote the branch's overall growth through the development and retention of new and existing customers

  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Atlantic Union Bankshares' BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.

  • Identify risk and escalate concerns through proper channels

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of bank products, services, including other lines of business

  • Proficiency in digital channel technology and ability to educate customers

  • Other duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship

This position is supervised by branch leadership and reports to the Float Team Manager.

Requirements Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred

  • Previous cash handling experience preferred

  • Previous customer service experience required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to details

  • Flexible, able to adapt to change

  • Shifts may vary for each position offering, depending on business need

  • Ability to travel to multiple branches within a business day

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift objects up to 30 pounds

This position oversees the daily processing flow and communicates updates to assigned students working through the Financial Aid Office. Advisors must possess critical-thinking skills and use a variety of communication methods and analytical skills to guide and encourage students through the financial aid process. Advisors must build and foster strong relationships with students to support their educational goals. Responsibilities * Advises students about methods to pay for their education, financial aid eligibility, application procedures, financial assistance programs, costs, indebtedness, money management and financial planning; individualizes information to the particular needs and situation of the student. * Collects and/or analyzes financial data on students to determine financial aid eligibility and makes awards within federal, donor and/or institutional guidelines. * Evaluates unusual/mitigating circumstance documentation or information provided by the student; exercises judgment by making adjustments or revisions to costs, contribution, need or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process. * Answers questions, inquiries or requests from students, parents, or guardians in person or in writing regarding financial aid programs and eligibility. * Analyzes system generated reports such as grades and enrollment status or award status to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines; notify students of changes in eligibility of awards and alternatives to amend the situation. * Interfaces with students and lenders, employers and/or Student Services staff to resolve concerns. Qualifications Education/Experience * Bachelor's degree preferred. * 2-3 years of related experience. * Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training. Skills/Abilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Proficiency in CampusVue Student database, preferred. * Well-developed oral and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational and analytical skills. * Ability to quickly master new methodologies, technologies and systems. * Ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures. * Able to interact with employees, potential students and outside contacts of all levels, providing excellent customer service. * Ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituents.
