Description
Fidelity Bank is searching for a Financial Reporting Specialist to join Fidelity's Accounting Team. This role works with the Controller to prepare financial statements and the related footnotes and other narrative disclosures, in accordance with FASB, SEC and PCAOB regulations.
You will develop and input various processes to create accurate departmental reporting, prepare various accounting, tax and financial reports and compile and maintain audit-ready documentation. This position will work directly with our engaged independent registered public accounting firm staff. Your responsibility is full assurance that financial reports are timely and accurately prepared, assisting in the review of the annual budget, analyzing quarterly performance results and working with departmental management and auditors to coordinate requests and documentation for internal control testing are a part of this role.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study, specialized bank finance education and training, and at least two years' experience in a related position is desired. Public accounting or internal auditing experience and working with publicly owned companies in an accounting environment is preferred.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study; specialized bank finance education and training.
Skill(s): Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and application of higher level mathematics skills; demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial statements, e.g., balance sheets, income statements, etc.; proficient PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing and database applications; a working knowledge of bank functions relating to the accounting and finance functions; knowledge of current bank and SEC regulations impacting the accounting and finance functions; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related position normally required.
Public accounting or internal auditing experience is preferred. Experience working with publically owned companies (SEC registrants) in an accounting environment with progressively increasing responsibility desirable.
