Financial Reporting & Consolidations Senior Analyst, will play a critical role in leading our global financial reporting & consolidation accounting processes including understanding our legal entity structure, collaborating with tax and treasury teams on capital funding, working with regional accounting teams to ensure intercompany entries are properly recorded, working closely with IT to enhance systems and processes, and execute the monthly intercompany eliminations process. This role will be based in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of the global intercompany policy, systems, and process.

  • Prepare month end journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany invoicing.

  • Collaborate with Tax and Treasury teams on various intercompany transactions including capital funding, loan arrangements, IP transfers, etc.

  • Work closely with Treasury and AP Teams to expertly execute timely settlements of intercompany balances.

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of FX, consolidation, and elimination process, and execute the intercompany eliminations process during month-end close and investigate and resolve any issues.

  • Provide guidance to regional accounting teams on how to accurately record, reconcile and report on intercompany transactions.

  • Assist in accounting projects including the automation and streamlining of the intercompany and reporting processes, and design and implementation of controls over these processes.

  • Work closely with internal audit and external auditors to ensure all compliance activities are properly executed on time.

Specialized knowledge/Qualifications

  • 4+ years of meaningful accounting experience Public accounting (Audit) experience preferred General accounting experience in publicly traded companies preferred Experience with payroll-related accounting preferred

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting/Finance/Business

  • Deep understanding of accounting theory;

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and related experience with accounting research and application;

  • Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts;

  • Strong analytical skills;

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work;

  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines;

  • Dedicated and independent;

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to improve performance, creativity, problem solving, and results;

  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish assigned tasks;

For more information, visit This position has primary responsibility for overseeing the financial reporting function including all aspects of quarterly and annual standalone financial reporting required by Clearway, providing support to Clearway Energy, Inc. (Clearway's affiliate company) for their quarterly and annual SEC filings, management of the annual financial audit process in close coordination with external auditors and members of the project accounting teams. Additional work will include overseeing the preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations, reviewing annual audited and quarterly unaudited standalone financial reports and providing research assistance in due diligence matters for Clearway and documenting such positions as well as other technical accounting matters. Responsibilities: * Oversee coordination and execution of the annual financial audits for the renewables and development businesses, working closely with internal accounting staff and external auditors, including coordinating PBCs, drafting of footnotes/schedules and quality control of integrated financial statements. * Serve as key advisor and mentor to guide department accountants through non-routine and unusual transactions in coordination with Clearway Energy Inc.'s (CWEN) (Clearway's affiliate company) technical accounting team. * Coordinate on an as-needed basis with accounting staff at Clearway Energy, Inc. (CWEN) for CWEN projects. * Assist in researching reporting matters, accounting principles and financial reporting rules, as well as preparation of internal documentation to support due diligence, technical accounting memos and internal controls requirements for Clearway related projects. * Support the renewables accounting department on all reporting requirements, including analytical functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely close. Duties include analysis of balance sheet, income statement, equity transactions, and preparation and review of cash flow statements. * Support the annual audit process for standalone audits, which includes compiling financial statements and footnote schedules, providing data requests to external auditors, and providing substantial support for audit selections. * Work with internal functional departments (e.g., Treasury, Asset Management, Procurement) and external groups to ensure financial reported results for projects are accurate and in compliance with company policies and procedures. * Review and perform monthly, quarterly and year-end close process within a condensed time frame for all assigned renewable energy projects. * Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other items related to month-end and quarter-end processes. * Maintain internal control environment and ensure compliance with accounting policies and SOX regulations. * Actively participate in process improvement including automation and efficiency projects. * Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency. * Respond to ad hoc requests from key stakeholders within the organization.
