Financial Recovery Representative III ( FKA Special Assets)

This Financial Recovery Representative III position is full-time and is responsible for developing a workout strategy on middle market loans primarily supporting the specialty lending areas with healthcare, technology, leasing, agriculture, franchise, auto finance and mezzanine borrowers.

The selected individual will develop a workout strategy on classified (special asset) loans. They will also be responsible for analyzing financial plans, negotiating loan collection or restructuring, and recommending/overseeing litigation, liquidation or the charge off of a loan. They will also work with loan officers to manage the borrowing relationship over 10 MM in exposure and above and participate in loan watchlist preparation and review.

Quality Assurance: Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager or individual contributor. Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled, and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis. If applicable, ensures staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources and motivated to adhere to risk management principles. Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial or business banking underwriting, lending, or credit experience to include Work- Out required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong goal achievement orientation.

  • Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and the ability and desire to provide exemplary service to our clients is key in this position.

  • Ability to work independently in a deadline driven and goal-oriented team environment.

  • Basic working knowledge of PC applications.

Sound credit administration skills and lending judgment is required.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Analyze financial statements; capital structure and bank's documentation to determine restructure options for moderately sized and potentially complex transactions. Design and implement comprehensive strategies to either exit or retain (upgrade) relationship.</p></li><li><p>Analyze and determine impact of bankruptcy filings and protect bank's position as creditor. Negotiate interim financing orders, conduct §363 and Article 9 sales.</p></li><li><p>Manages and coordinates foreclosure actions on delinquent mortgages, including the management and disposal of foreclosure properties.</p></li><li><p>Prepares and presents to senior management recommendations regarding action plans.</p></li><li><p>Conducts negotiations with the borrower and borrower's counsel and represents the bank in litigation and bankruptcy cases.</p></li><li><p>Manages outside counsel, property managers and other consultants in the process of bankruptcy, repossession, restructure, litigation, and foreclosure.</p></li><li><p>Mitigates bank's loss exposure regarding non-credit risk such as deposit accounts and treasury management products.</p></li><li><p>Maintains good working relationships with all bank employees and outside vendors.
