This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Financial Analysis and Modeling in Washington, DC. This position provides technical advice, financial analysis and counsel to high level audiences up to and including Senior SBA Executive leadership.

Directs, plans and conducts studies to measure economic effects and financial stability of direct and guaranteed loan programs.
Designs, develops and enhances credit models using analytical software packages such as Excel and programming languages such as Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and provides validation and documentation supporting the models.
Technical authority in the area of financial and econometric analysis; exercises broad responsibilities to solve very complex problems pertaining to financial/accounting/budget issues.
Works effectively with all levels of management within SBA in resolving issues with an agencywide impact.
Plans, designs, and conducts comprehensive, statistically based studies of significant scope and complexity relative to the agency's direct loan and loan guarantee programs; applies industry best practices for financial modeling.
Occasional travel - Occasional night and weekend travel may be required.

GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: executing studies to measure economic effects and financial stability of direct and guaranteed loan programs; maintaining, enhancing and executing loan models using programming languages such as SAS and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA); providing validation and documentation supporting the models. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
