Job Description:

The Financial Planning Marketing Executive will be responsible for ensuring world class financial planning is included as a part of the core wealth management offering. This financial planning strategy will span all wealth segments and closely coordinate with consumer programs like Life Plan. This role will own all strategic marketing components of financial planning including the social media strategy, content strategy, Advisor support (website, LinkedIn, and eComms) and public relations. The newly created financial planning strategy will be leveraged by Direct to Client and Prospect programs and should stand as a proof point under the brand strategy work. There is a transformational component of this role, as we will be creating and launching a new financial planning program. Creating the new program will include the consolidation of existing frameworks and tools, leveraging segment feedback and organizational learnings from pilots to inform the strategy and ensure the new approach is scalable.


Qualifications/Desired

Skills:
  • 8+ years of Financial Planning Marketing experience

  • Expertise in translating strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables

  • Deep and wide knowledge of investment management products across all client segments

  • Ability to apply and translate complex strategies into specific tactics and execute them within a highly matrixed organization

  • Proven ability to effectively lead cross functional teams with both direct and indirect ownership

  • Experience working across products, channels and LOBs to facilitate execution

  • Strong management skills, including the ability to prioritize and delegate work, meet deadlines and budgets and effectively address issues to keep programs on track

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams; flexible and adaptable with demonstrated ability to navigate in ambiguous circumstances

  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills

The Life Event Planning Experience Team lead will be at the forefront of developing an experience to meet those needs and will be a key member of the Enterprise-wide initiative tasked with developing a scalable end-to-end Life Event Planning experience to be delivered consistently across Fidelity. The Team This role will partner with other members of the Enterprise team and key resources across Fidelity to Define, Test, Build, Implement and Measure the effectiveness of life event planning capabilities on Fidelity.com, Net Benefits and in Fidelity Institutional as appropriate. The role puts particular emphasis on a person with experience delivering across multiple channels: direct to consumer, via the workplace, and through intermediaries such as advisers. The ExpertiseYou Have * BS/BA required. MBA preferred * 15 years of work experience * Experience establishing strategic partnerships with third-party firms for B2C offerings * Strategy or marketing consulting (including consumer insights, data and analytics) * Product, Segment, or Brand management * Digital experience and marketing * Financial services experience preferred but not required * Agile experience preferred, but not required The Skills You Bring * Demonstrated ability to lead and influence complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple business units/segments – demonstrated ability to work in a matrix-oriented environment * Experience across all facets of the agile product development process with particular focus on understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable requirements (e.g., visioning, customer needs analysis, research, design sprints, customer testing, prototyping, requirements, prioritization) * Strong communication and presentation skills with a focus on being able to translate vision into execution * Experience delivering across multiple channels: direct to consumer, via workplace, through intermediaries The Value You Deliver There are several key areas in which this role will lead and add value to the Life Event Planning initiative: * Partner with members of the Enterprise team and key business resources to define and execute the Life Event Planning vision. These responsibilities will span both the strategic (heavy involvement in vision, strategy, prioritization) and the executional (partner with others to ensure integration with platform data and services, and rollout of a sales and service model to support the offering) * Lead and execute a customer-centric process to define and design the Life Event Experience * Execute ongoing Design Sprints to understand the customer need and "jobs to be done" for each life event * Perform and gather customer & competitive research and insight to support key hypotheses for each event * Design, build and test a prototype to test concepts and inform requirements for each event * Prioritize requirements to develop life event content and a related end-to-end experience for each event * Act as the primary liaison in partnership with the life event scrum master for front end development squads, including translation of vision/prototype to requirements, prioritization of features, user acceptance, and ongoing interaction, influence and strategy. * Work with key partners across Fidelity to integrate Life Event Planning with other related experiences and initiatives in Fidelity business units (e.g., Wealth Management, Healthcare, Fidelity Labs).
