The Role

Xos is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to oversee the FP&A function. This role will be pivotal in driving the company's financial strategies, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to achieve our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights into revenue drivers, cost structures, and business performance

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure accurate modeling of material costs and spending targets

  • Drive cost forecasting, tracking, and reporting for vehicle programs throughout the development, lifecycle, primarily focusing on BOM cost and Program investment

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to generate meaningful insights and recommendations for decision-making purposes

  • Partner with the Accounting and Finance team to enhance the company's financial infrastructure, leveraging system solutions to streamline reporting and automate internal processes

  • Produce accurate and transparent financial plans, forecasts, and insights to support strategic initiatives

  • Provide ad hoc research and analysis support to senior leadership as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, cost accounting, and/or FP&A roles, with a strong understanding of full P&L management

  • Previous experience in an OEM, Automotive supplier, or Electric Vehicle company is highly preferred

  • Proven track record of managing FP&A functions in high-growth, fast-paced environments

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with a strong executive presence

  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulatory requirements, SOX compliance, and audit committee standards

  • Strong expertise in general ledger functions, budgeting, forecasting and month-end/year end close processes

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, with a strong experience in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities

The salary range for this role is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Xos Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less that the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including not but limited to, job-related knowledge, skillset, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business or organizational factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.

  • California (Los Angeles Metropolitan): $110,000 - $140,000 annual base salary
