Position Summary:

Serve as a key resource and driver of the financial performance of the designated business unit(s). Key support role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in providing the financial information and analysis needed to build the business unit's effectiveness, profitability and position for growth.

  • Assist in providing analytical support and advice to the business unit's commercial, trading and operations management teams.

  • Coordinate planning / budgeting and forecasting for the business unit's operations.

  • Provide business unit senior management with the information needed to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Key Job Duties:

  • Annual Plan:

  • Contribute to the development of the business unit's annual business plan.

  • Complete analysis of risks and opportunities for designated business unit(s).

  • Prepare reports and analysis on performance against the annual business plan.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Assist with preparation of strategic plans, profitability analysis and business forecasts on an annual basis, or as assigned.

  • Provide insights for supervisors into long-term challenges and opportunities.

  • Capital Budgeting:

  • Prepare supporting documentation to support financial models for capital project proposals.

  • Assist with project applications for submission to senior management to support investment proposals.

  • In coordination with business unit operations and commercial managers, develop annual capital budgets.

  • Assist in coordinating and communicating ongoing changes to the capital plan.

  • M&A Target Identification and Support:

  • As required, assist in development of financial models to support growth opportunities for Bunge's business in targeted geographies.

  • Forecasting:

  • Maintain monthly forecast files including P&L, balance sheet and working capital forecasts for assigned business divisions / geographies.

  • Work closely with business unit managers to explain variances and improve forecast quality.

  • Management / Sales Reporting:

  • Maintain Business Warehouse reports used for sales reporting.

  • Develop and compile monthly and quarterly financial analysis for assigned business divisions / geographies.

  • Assist in the development of clear, concise and insightful financial reporting.

  • Cost Analysis:

  • Perform ad hoc cost/benefit analysis as necessary to improve management's understanding of various industrial processes associated with the business unit's operations.

  • Other:

  • Other ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, and/or a related discipline

  • At least two years of experience in a finance or accounting related role

  • Very strong computer skills, aptitude / proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • SAP, Hyperion and Business Warehouse experience a plus

  • Cost accounting experience a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated understanding and personal commitment to Bunge's core values and willingness to actively advance Bunge's key capabilities

Advanced knowledge in compiling & analyzing financial information. Develops integrated revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 30% 2. To be able to perform independently, access and interpret appropriate financial data for purposes of identifying financial performance improvement opportunities. (cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities) Develops information and creates timely and managerially useful reports based on relevant and accurate financial and clinical data. Produces administrative-level summaries that provide concise information for use in decision making.
