Job Purpose
Responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting and profitability review activities of the Auto segment, Regional/Corporate Services (incl. investment planning), R&D, Product Regulatory and Legal - incl. partnering with Business management / providing decision support, finance and strategic insights.
Key Accountabilities
Manage, oversee and review AHM business planning and budgeting process (incl. variance analyses/reviews) for assigned BU's comprising AHM-solo - resulting in an accurate picture of both current and future profitability in light of business transformation and continuing accounting/operational policy changes
Prepare and present monthly financial results presentation to Finance Executives / other BU Executives, includes explanations of plan versus actual variances, key performance indicators, and estimates based on current trends
Monitor new business developments for AHM-solo / BU's supported and evaluate financial impacts of new business/investment activities
Manage activities of assigned team members by: (a) assigning roles, managing capacity and allocating availability for all work demands for maximum throughput; (b) monitor workflow by individuals and make adjustments as needed ensuring reasonable work distribution by skill and capability; (c) develop/train staff by transferring knowledge/providing challenging work/asking questions for process improvement
Participate and/or lead special or non-recurring projects (such as NA Finance working groups, standardization efforts, etc.)
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Required Work Experience:
12+ years in Accounting/Finance function with experience in distribution/manufacturing industries
Public accounting experience, preferred
Management / Supervisory experience
Required Education:
Desired Skills:
Experience in multi-national company a plus
Analytical, organizational, problem solving, self-starter with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to interface with Executive Management levels
Ability to adjust and work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (excel, PPT)
Proficient in SAP - ECC, BPC
CPA Preferred

Additional Position Factors:
Open-office environment
Significant overtime during forecast events/close cycles (especially: quarter-close and year-end)
Some travel depending on accounting/forecast issues being addressed
