Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate operational data sets and reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget for HouseCalls membership

  • Develops new tools to analyze large data sets to identify risks and opportunities with performance

  • Performs analysis by developing and executing queries on various sets of data streams

  • Create demand planning forecast and monitor performance against plan

  • Troubleshoots data integrity issues, analyzes data for completeness to meet business goals and trending

  • Transfers data into meaningful, professional and easy to understand formats for various audiences

  • Escalates issues to department leadership for support and guidance

  • Develops new processes & refine existing processes

  • Execute timely & accurate data sourcing, validation, analytics and reporting

  • Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

  • Perform industry, data, and business process analysis for new strategic initiative

  • Collaborate with teams across operations to ensure accurate and timely completion of all related financial reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant operational and/or financial analysis experience

  • Advanced experience in MS Excel

  • Intermediate experience in PowerPoint

  • Ability to work in Minnetonka, MN office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics or finance

  • SQL experience

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen

  • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to business opportunities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization

VIEW JOBS 10/24/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-22T00:00 This position is part of a team responsible for management and execution of our provider incentive programs known as Additional Compensation Programs (ACP) including system setup and maintenance; incentive reporting, calculation and distribution; and incentive research and reconciliation. As part of this team, the Business Analyst will be the involved in the processes around the analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, support and maintenance of the systems. This includes participating in system development, detail testing, data cleansing and data analysis for new or revised business/system processes. The Business Analyst will also be involved in turning business problems into understandable, actionable analyses; helping to identify the underlying causes and potential mitigation strategies for medical cost trends, based on knowledge of healthcare issues including benefit designs, contracting methodologies, and reimbursement policies; and perform statistical analyses to help identify root causes of medical cost trends such as unit cost issues and provider issues. Primary Responsibilities: * Create/maintain business requirements for systems supporting the compensation calculation and payment process * Coordinate with other teams both internally and externally involved with the process * Assist in the design and development of SAS programs required to administer compensation agreements * Ability to work efficiently with large data sets (1 M ). * Ability to independently research both internal and external questions and provide input and suggestions for system sustainability, programming, new processes, etc. * Participate in developing programs and queries to run analytics for the compensation program * Ability to run, monitor, and adjust software jobs to ensure appropriate completion * Identify and help solve potential program/data problems ensuring appropriate follow through and resolution * Ensure sufficient documentation is available (and provided) to support audits including current/historical documentation of programming and system changes and additions to support the ACP program * Independently perform analyses of issues, participate in development of potential solutions, and make recommendations to ensure accurate and timely resolution. * Recommend and drive process improvements * Work is self-directed and not prescribed * Serves as a technical resource to others * Experience with financial operations is beneficial * Other projects as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
