As Financial Manager, you will serve as the Purchasing Officer for our agency and lead our Fiscal Services Team. You will manage and direct agency procurement, asset management, MBE/EDGE, and supervise our Fiscal Services team. You and your team support six office locations and more than 180 employees. This is a new position for our agency, and you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of deliverables and efficient, effective fiscal responses to complex requests.
Your Fiscal Services team includes a Senior Financial Analyst and a Financial Associate. Your leadership will play a key role in ensuring fiscal processes run smoothly in order to achieve quality service outcomes. The Fiscal Department oversees the agency's Personal Service Contracting, OPD Billing, Petty Cash, and Travel Reimbursement programs. In addition, Fiscal Services staff provide accounting services such as revenue collection, purchase order processing, payment of invoices, financial reporting, and budget planning and management. You will report to the Deputy Director Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO). You will also work closely with the Office Services Manager and team, who also report to the Deputy Director CFO, and you will regularly collaborate with other divisions and departments in the agency, including but not limited to Reimbursement, Agency Legal Support, Management Information Systems, and Library Services.
Preferred candidates will be able to adapt to and lead through changes, value collaboration, and be a strong communicator with experience in purchasing/procurement, policy development, and process improvement. The position will require two days per week in the office, including Thursdays and another day of your choice; Business needs may require you to work additional time in the office.

The Financial Manager position is assigned to the State of Ohio's E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 15, presented below in table format. Starting pay will be at Step 1 unless required by contract/legislation; Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for higher starting pay. Our steps give a standard path for earnings growth: you move to the next step after 6 months and annually thereafter. We typically have fiscal year Cost of Living Adjustments as well.
