What will you do?

  • Monthly financial reporting including flash report and management report

  • Managing month end processes

  • Funding and cashflow projections and assessment of costs and related variances

  • Review and sign off of all journals and reconciliations

  • SAP and HFM reporting and uploads

  • Annual budgeting and periodic forecasting

  • Statutory external audit preparation and liaison, statutory annual financial statements compilation

  • Monthly VAT returns assessment and submission

  • Bi-annual provisional tax, withholding tax returns, annual income tax returns submission and responses to SARS and tax queries

  • Year-end current and deferred tax calculations

  • Dividends and equity covenant calculations and liquidity and solvency tests

  • Other related and ad hoc duties

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Dynamic, self starter and high attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and add value in a fast-paced environment, under pressure

  • Good interpersonal skills and communicator

  • Thorough IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS9

  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a hybrid environment

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial

  • Financial Services industry experience is ideal

  • CA (SA) preferable

  • Minimum 3- 5 years post qualification work experience
