Overview
The Department of Environmental Conservation has an opportunity for a Financial Manager to develop, monitor and oversee the grants out activities within the Department. This position will be part of a dynamic team and will perform reporting activities.
In addition, this position will assist in maintaining appropriate fiscal controls, follow uniform federal and state guidance with monitoring and reporting on grants issued and assisting with federal and state audit requests. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized person to manage grants, contracts, procurement and manage the subrecipient monitoring across the department's agreements. This position has the responsibility for managing contracts and grants, including the writing, evaluation, and processing of RFPs, RFls, RFAs, and RFQs. The position plays a key role in problem solving with staff regarding the most appropriate approaches and most efficient procurement mechanisms to meet the divisions objectives. They also draft and process contracts, grant agreements, and memoranda of understanding.

The Department of Environmental Conservation currently operates in a hybrid working environment, supporting remote work as well as Core Days in which all staff are in the office. Permission to participate in telework is applied for on an individual basis.
As of July 14, 2024 the step 1 rate for pay grade 27 will be $33.78 per hour.
