  • Support profit center sales and profitability initiatives through the extension of customer credit and management of accounts receivable portfolios, consistent with overall Company guidelines and under the supervision of the Director of Finance.


  • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers, authorize and monitor customer credit limits, and credit-approve sales orders in accordance with delegated limits of authority and overall Company credit policies.

  • Manage the accounts receivable portfolio of assigned profit center(s) through timely collection follow-up with customers, resolution of disputes, and enhancement of cash flow within established days sales outstanding (DSO) and delinquency guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships in support of both sales and credit management initiatives.

  • Coordinate with Director Finance, Corporate Legal Department, outside counsel, or collection agencies, as necessary, on asset-recovery strategies and tactics.

  • Assist profit center management in the review and negotiation of contract and purchase order terms and conditions.

  • Protect and enhance profit center profitability through the administration of appropriate cash discount and service charge programs.

  • Establish and maintain procedures to maximize secondary job protection (Mechanics Liens, Payment Bonds, etc.).

  • Keep profit center management, Area Financial Manager, and Director Finance informed on matters related to customer accounts and credit trends within the assignment or territory.

  • Assist in the evaluation of unapproved suppliers, and ensure customer satisfaction prior to payment of unapproved suppliers.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required: Financial Manager IV or equivalent

  • Four-year degree required: Business Degree; Major in Finance preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-16T00:00 GENERAL PURPOSE: Seeking a motivated candidate for the Financial Reporting team to drive the constant enhancement in the Ross finance function, processes, systems, and value creation to support and enable continued exemplary financial performance and operations. The Financial Reporting Manager role is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Company's quarterly SEC Form 10-Q and annual SEC Form 10-K filings. Additionally, this role is responsible for the Company's SOX compliance function and technical accounting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Core participation in quarterly earnings and SEC filing process by managing key internal relationships between External Reporting and internal stakeholders; managing the drafting and preparation of various sections of the quarterly filings, including supporting the earnings release cycle; and preparing quarterly analytical reviews to support Management's Discussion and Analysis. * Manage Quarterly board variance analyses and reporting. * Assessing quarterly transactions for accounting treatment and disclosure. * External audit coordination including workpaper preparation and review. * Research, document, and resolve accounting matters. * Managing the Company's SOX compliance function by Conducting SOX risk assessment and planning. * Work with Accounting and others to update Ross' Accounting Policies and Procedures manual. * Mentor, coach, and develop staff. COMPETENCIES: * Strong Analytical Skills * Detail Oriented * Business Acumen * Results Driven * Planning and Organization * Adaptability * Technical SEC and SOX expertise * Strong Communication Skills QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree required (preferably in accounting/finance). * CPA or CPA candidate a plus. * 5-8 years post college experience (within a Big 4 accounting firm, retail company, or within a financial reporting group). * Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. * Strong understanding of SOX and internal controls. * A detail oriented approach – must pay close attention to the details and have the drive to get things right. * Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills, and Visio. Workiva and Peoplesoft Financial Systems experience is a plus. * Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities. * Trustworthy with confidential financial information.
