Summary

About the Position: This is a Public Notice for a position being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Financial Management Experts (FM DHA) in the Department of Defense Workforce (NDAA FY2017, Section 1110). Under this recruitment procedure, applications will be accepted for the position identified in this Public Notice.

This public notice will be used to fill the position of Budget Analyst, GS-0560-07/09 with Resource Management at Fort AP Hill, VA.
Responsibilities

Budget analyst performing day-to-day control and management involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of the organization's budget and funding requirements.
Performing budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
Providing advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducting analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

FOR THE GS-07 GRADE LEVEL
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level. Examples: Analyzes and resolves routine problems, assists in preparing reports and briefings, participates in special initiatives, studies and projects,
OR
one full year of graduate level education,
OR
superior academic achievement, if related, OR a combination of education and experience.

FOR THE GS-09 GRADE LEVEL
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level. Examples: Compiles and summarizes data by element of expense and line information needed for formulation of budget estimates. Monitor and track obligations and expenditures.

OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related to the work, OR a combination of education and experience.
