Duke University's School of Medicine - Department of Dermatology has an immediate need for an Financial Management Analyst I located in Durham, N.C.
WORK PERFORMED
GENERAL FINANCE:
Financial reporting and analysis, operational as well compared to budget.
Month end close in conjunction with FMA 3
Fund code initiation
AP/AR audit/reconciliation
Backup CONCUR entry & follow up
Acts as Buy@Duke administrator and point of contact for ongoing Buy@Duke questions/issues/audits
Training for new staff
Approve check requests
Approve purchase orders (standing and one time)
Invoice tracking & reconciliation
Problem invoice resolution, untimely transaction resolution before write off deadline
Check log compliance and deposits
Handles School of Medicine audit
Faculty & Advance Practice Provider annual allocation tracking and reporting
Concur approver/troubleshooting
Serve as FAM approver for required transactions (finance & HR)
Attend institutional and departmental meetings/trainings as necessary
SPACE:
Perform walk-throughs, space audits, updates in Web Central occupant and % of use per payroll report
Quarterly review and space confirmation; distribution of space funding (SOM vs DHIP) to align with funding of occupant
Manage office/lab/space upfits, get quotes from Duke, negotiate expenses; work with Lab Administrator for laboratory moves or expansion/reduction
E&O requests
Off-site storage monitoring reconciliation
EQUIPMENT:
Update and maintain capital equipment inventory and order requests
Order new computers and peripherals for clinical and research faculty & staff (not in-clinic computers): quotes, repair and maintenance agreements/contracts for non-laboratory and laboratory equipment (back up for lab administrator for lab equipment);
Negotiate and point of contact for emergency replacement of equipment; emergency
Education/Training
Work generally requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or a related business field.
Experience
No experience required for candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to the specific position.
