Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

This is a Financial Crimes Consultant 2 position with the Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) Gift and Entertainment (G&E) Oversight team currently supporting Wells Fargo Securities and supporting lines of business. The WFS G&E Oversight team provides credible challenge to G&E expenses and is part of the first line of defense regarding all G&E related expense activity compliance. As a member of this team you will be expected provide advisory, guidance and support across a multitude of businesses with an understanding of FINRA/MSRB rules and regulations related to gifts and entertainment and general expense management, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act, and other regulatory risk and compliance.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Review of G&E expense activity and data management

  • Review of Meeting and Events activity

  • Review of Spotlight Ticket Management System

  • Review of Sponsorship and Charitable Contributions

  • Management of the pre-clearance process

  • Fielding questions from the Line of Business

  • G&E report generation and communications

Additional responsibilities are to create efficiencies by revising key processes and tools, applying new technologies and approaches to increase the capacity and effectiveness of the WFS G&E Program.

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance; or a BS/BA degree or higher in applied sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or criminal justice, with 1+ year of experience in the foregoing

Enhanced Due Diligence Center (EDDC), within Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), is looking for qualified candidates to join an exciting team focused on managing the enhanced due diligence programs for Money Services Businesses, Third Party Payment Processors, and other high risk customers that supports Community Banking. This position will be responsible for managing work teams to ensure consistency and effective execution of our due diligence programs. They will work closely with other managers within the EDDC, Financial Crimes Analytics, Financial Crimes Investigations as well as the line of business and line of business risk teams to manage the existing due diligence programs. The manager will be an AML/Due Diligence subject matter. As the Enhanced Due Diligence Manager, you will: * Manage teams of due diligence consultants conducting transactional analysis and due diligence reviews for high risk customers including but not limited to, Money Services Businesses, Third-Party Payment Processors, Gaming/Casino entities and customers using high risk products * Provide compliance risk and data analysis expertise to portfolio management, business projects and initiatives * Be responsible for managing the development, implementation and monitoring of risk-based compliance programs within the EDDC teams to assure compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory requirements * Work with risk and business management to identify, formulate and implement compliance policies and procedures * Be responsible for coordinating with FCRM partners to respond to internal auditors and external regulators as part of coordinated examinations The Enhanced Due Diligence Center, is within the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) organization. The Enhanced Due Diligence Center (EDDC) group was formed in 2013 to help meet the evolving due diligence needs of its Line of Business partners. This group is responsible for ensuring that Wells Fargo handles risk with high risk industries at the enterprise level, and that Wells Fargo is in compliance with all applicable BSA laws and regulations.
