They have a progressive work environment, promoting professional growth and support, flexibility and a transparent and collaborative culture.Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Controller to lead and manage their company’s financial operations. You will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports, and provide strategic financial guidance. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a drive for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and help steer the organization towards continuous success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Drive process improvements and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, P&L, assist with budgeting, monitor liquidity, and manage working capital
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online, and advanced in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in private accounting
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, self-motivated, confident, energetic
