Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Finance Division is seeking a Financial Controller Professional to be part of the Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM) CFO department. The I&CM CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, portfolio risk and profitability analysis, pricing and valuation activities, and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac's Capital Markets activities. The hired individual will join the I&CM Financial Reporting & Analytics team and contribute to internal and external reporting financial analysis and presentations.

Your Impact:

  • Create monthly and quarterly analytical presentations for various stakeholders, including senior management, the Board of Directors, and our regulatory

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information for use in both internal and external reporting

  • Learn and understand business concepts and market drivers central to explaining our financial results

  • Partner with colleagues in Finance and the Capital Markets Business Division to gather financial results, business metrics, and related explanations that support our analytics and reporting to management

  • Build and maintain reporting in our Financial Forecasting system that is consistent with our actual reporting

  • Continue to enhance analytics and reporting

  • Assist in ad-hoc request or analytics

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of financial reporting and analytics work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related degree

  • Knowledge of GAAP financial accounting and reporting concepts

  • Strong financial aptitude and robust analytical skills

  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Hyperion, Peoplesoft, Tableau, or Python Knowledge (preferred)

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
