Summary:
Responsible for the operational direction and administration of activities within the assigned departments and/or outlets involving the non-gaming functions of Finance and Accounting, for corporate and property entities, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and non-gaming Finance and Accounting. Assist the divisional executive with the development and execution of the division's strategic plans.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of assigned leadership staff
- Oversee the execution of the division's operational plans in the assigned areas
- Ensure work performance standards, and employee development programs maximize the individual growth and development of staff
- Oversee the month end and year end closing process for all non-gaming related areas
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations & financial statements
- Manage daily interactions with auditors from state, local and public accounting firms
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Five years experience performing same or similar job duties, preferably within the gaming industry
- Previous experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents, such as gaming and non-gaming regulations, technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Must be accurate and efficient with high attention to detail
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group (both large and small) situations
- Previous experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Must be accurate and efficient with high attention to detail
- Previous experience effectively operating a computer
- Previous experience working with Infinium, Cognos, and CMS/CDS preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or similar field, or 15 years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
- Occasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
- Occasionally squat, kneel, and communicate via radio
- Frequently bend, reach, twist, sit, and stand
- Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
