The person will have dedicated responsibilities for agency brands from a finance perspective. The purpose of this role is to manage financial control processes within the business and support Finance Director in implementing the Financial Control strategy, driving an appropriate control and compliance environment, and overseeing the production of financial management information. In addition, an important part of the role is to work closely with the business to provide value-adding support, reports and insight to management in financial matters.

Key responsibilities:
Please note that the activities below describe the total responsibility of the Financial Control team and that some of the activities may only be relevant to specific members of the team.
Support business unit management with detailed financial management information, driving financial performance and providing support in financial planning and analysis.
Work closely with Commercial Finance to provide relevant financial information to the business units
Consistently delivers accurate and reliable output on specific tasks or work streams
Delivers high quality support services, taking responsibility for advice and treating support queries with urgency
Works proactively with the business and demonstrates a high capacity for operational delivery excellence, including an agile approach to analysis and problem-solving
Identifies and drives continuous improvement/change programmes throughout their implementation to achieve in-market and global benefits
Manages the budgeting and forecasting process for the relevant Business Unit
Manages the month/quarter/year end closing process to meet local and group deadlines
Manage escalations from team in Noida (Genpact)
Identifies and monitors underlying drivers for cost variances between actual expenditure vs forecast/budget, raising issues where necessary
Responsible for the business unit Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Accounts Receivable and Work in Progress
Responsible for statutory reporting for the business unit, including production of statutory accounts, group accounts and tax papers
Works to ensure internal control and accounting policies are compliant with both Group policies and local regulation
Manages local market specialist finance activities including capital requirements, VAT, taxation, treasury, insurance and risk management 2
Builds capabilities, tools and skills within Financial Control to increase efficiency and the value add of the Financial Control team within a market. Diligently updates input templates and system reports to ensure positive user experience
Manage internal and external audit for the market, including managing all regulatory compliance in the market
Qualifications and experience
Experience with IFRS
Experience with local statutory reporting requirements (NGAAP), including tax
Minimum 2-3 years of experience from Financial and/or project controlling
Ability and motivation for driving continuous improvement and development
Fluency in English
Bachelor or Masters degree in finance / economics (siv.øk, audit or similar)
Advanced user of Excel
