Financial Control Revenue Share Assistant Vice President

As a Barclays Financial Control Revenue Share Assistant Vice President, you will be leading a critical role in ensuring that US Consumer Bank (USCB) Partners are compensated appropriately in accordance with contractual revenue/profit share agreements and that the results are accounted for appropriately in Barclays' financial statements. You will be required to comprehend end to end processes and the control environment, challenge existing process/controls, and propose enhancements/automation opportunities.

What will you be doing?
Accounting for the monthly quantification, validation and payment of compensation/revenue-share to 2-4 credit card partners with contractual agreements
Applying US GAAP and IFRS principles to account for all partner-related activities, including a compensation/revenue-share, cardmember benefits, campaigns, etc
Ensuring all control procedures are followed to maintain a sound control environment, propose/implement control enhancements as needed
Building a solid grasp of the end to end processes that have an impact of partner compensation/revenue-sharing to ensure that Partners are compensated appropriately
Reviewing and challenging existing processes by being curious and continually asking "why" and identifying automation opportunities
Developing and maintaining a relationship with stakeholders in Partnership, Finance, and other functions across the organization to ensure the accounting treatment
Working closely with external auditors, SOX< and Controls teams on a regular basis
What we're looking for?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Demonstrated experience working in a banking/financial institutions
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and competence
Analytical skills/competence and ability to draw conclusions through the use of business understanding and data
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience with accounting for a credit card business, especially CoBrand Partnerships
Financial Control/Reporting experience and competence
CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
Experience reading and comprehending legal agreements
