This role will provide financial performance analytics and insights for Optum's client partnerships. These insights will include in-depth analysis on key client performance indicators and the ability to share findings both internally and externally. The Success in this role will be dependent on an ability to successfully navigate and influence change across a matrixed environment, quickly adapt to changing priorities, and an ability to clearly articulate business issues with recommended solutions - in the context of a fast paced and high-growth environment that has a long-term commitment to making health care better for everyone.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participation in partnership solutions that meet both internal and external requirements

• Development of client reporting package for both internal and external review

• Effectively partnering and collaborating with cross-functional teams that include Finance, Product, Operations, Legal and other internal customers

• Preparing financial analysis and presenting partnership, risks, and recommendations to senior management

• Assembling disparate operational and financial data for analysis and to drive fact based decision-making

• Building, maintaining, and enhancing revenue cycle monitoring

• Identifying and driving process improvements that simplify work, reduce internal cost, and improve the customer experience

• Reviewing customer, A/R, cash collections, liquidity and other operational benchmarks to ensure optimal performance

• Providing broader financial support for large partnership opportunities and other strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related

• 3+ years of analytic experience in pricing, costing and / or data analytics

• Intermediate Proficiency in MS Excel skills, including significant financial modeling experience

• Experience working collaboratively and influencing others within a matrix organization

• Proven ability to work independently with little supervision, prioritize work and be a self-starter

• Proven excellent written communication skills and the ability to verbally communicate ideas clearly & confidently

• Reside in EST or CST Time zone

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare and / or Revenue Cycle Management experience

• Experience working and interacting with executive leadership

• Proficiency using PowerPoint to create presentations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
