Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time Financial and Compliance Lead Coordinator in the Luzerne County SHINE Program. SHINE is a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) project-based after school program for grades 1-8 in multiple school districts throughout Luzerne County.
Working closely with the SHINE Executive Director and the Director of Research and Sponsored Programs, the successful candidate is responsible for monthly reconciliation of all financial aspects of the grant-funded SHINE program, including payroll and expense allocations, invoicing, budgeting, and assistance with SHINE grant submissions and renewals. Position will also oversee the timekeeping records of approximately 60 part-time employees, including reconciling missing punches and approving time cards using an electronic time and attendance system. They will also monitor vendor contracts to ensure timely payments and renewals as necessary.
A Bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with bookkeeping, managing programmatic budgets, using spreadsheets, grant writing, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
