Serves as front-line support for Patient Financial Care within Piedmont. The incumbent is responsible for
handling and resolving in-person, telephonic or digital customer inquiries and/or concerns by providing
patients/guarantors from both hospitals and physician practices with a consistent and seamless
experience. The incumbent is also responsible for following up on and collecting pre-service, at-service
or outstanding guarantor balances when required. Will provide information on estimated cost of services,
verify coverage, secure authorization, make appointments, explain insurance benefits and information on
financial resources to patients/guarantors.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School graduate or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least three (3) previous years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Five (5) years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience with a focus in Financial Counseling preferred. A
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university preferred. Certification with Healthcare
Financial Management Association, or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred. Understanding
of Medical Terminology. Prior Epic experience preferred.
