Our Financial Associate will perform a variety of professional level accounting and analytical duties for a high profile client in property and asset management along with leading the financial reporting for a property and asset management business line. This is a unique, hybrid role, within a great team providing exposure to both accounting and asset management.

What this job involves:

Analyst responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile transition budgets for client.

  • Work with Client and Finance Lead to ensure accurate client billing.

  • Communicate with client to ensure all expenses are reported accurately on a per site basis.

  • Ensure employees are tracking and reporting their time accurately to ensure client billing is correct.

  • Improve efficiency of budget tracking process and reporting.

  • Assist the Client and Finance Leads on an "as-needed" basis.

  • Coordinate handoff of Client Billing: work with finance team to prepare initial client funding request, update funding log, record client billing.

  • Ensure employee legal and accounting set-up is complete.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all employee questions are addressed.

Business Accounting responsibilities:

  • Manage business line financials as needed.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate recognition of revenue in compliance with contract terms and Sarbanes Oxley.

  • Assist with audit write ups for quarterly audits and monthly contracts that meet scope.

  • Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assist in maintaining an accurate pipeline (work in process) by obtaining transaction details and accurately updating or inputting specific information.

  • Provide monthly (or as needed) revenue reporting by individual or group for local leadership including Individual vs. target, group vs. target, and deficit reporting with analysis.

  • Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines.

  • Ensure the accounts receivable objectives and metrics are met - oversee maintenance and research on AR over 30 days past due.

  • Assist in producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements and provide variance analysis on information which could include supporting revenue schedules, labor reports, and expense review.

  • Assist in the creation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts for the client group.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or in finance with a minor in accounting.

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong accounting skills

  • Exceptional MS Excel skills.

  • Experience with Yardi, E1, MRI is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic.

  • Understanding of and commitment to client service.

  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, diverse, collaborative, and driven team environment.
