We are looking for a trail-blazing Financial Analyst to join our internal finance team. Under general direction, the Financial Analyst contributes to the overall financial performance of the firm by assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing and interpreting financial results, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and analyzing operational data

  • Monitoring variances, identifying trends, interpreting data, and recommending actions to management to improve financial results

  • Study proposed changes and forecast results

  • Identify and drive process improvements

  • Provide analytical forecasting, reporting, and project support to leaders

  • Support annual budget process

  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the firm

  • Develop models that will help with decision making

  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or other related fields.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling

  • Advanced financial modeling experience

  • Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity

  • Experience working with ERP systems and databases

Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills including being comfortable with interacting with firm leadership

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

  • Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

  • Attention to accuracy and detail

  • Plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively

  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously

Senior Claims Business Process Analysts are responsible for all related aspects of claim system processes and claim business rules. Include claims systems utilization, capacity analyses/planning and reporting, claims-related business and systems analysis. Ensure data integrity, data security and process optimization. Primary Responsibilities: * Responsible for providing research and root cause analysis for claim quality remediation * Perform capacity planning and reporting * Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance * Create and edit requirements, specifications, cost benefit analysis and recommendations to proposed solutions * Facilitate development of process documentation * Follow standard programming guidelines and requirements as set by team * Standard documentation and tracking processes * Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma / GED (or higher) * Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new complex computer system applications * 2 years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems in an office setting environment * 3 years in a technical or metrics based environment including business level testing and/or troubleshooting within a healthcare insurance environment * Must be available to work a set 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required. Overtime can be before, after, or on a different day than the regularly scheduled shift Preferred Qualifications: * Undergraduate Degree / Bachelor's Degree (or higher) * 2 years of CPS claim experience * Understanding of HTML * Macro development * Intermediate level of Microsoft Visio - able to create a Visio Workflow * SharePoint development/creation * Previous experience with website maintenance and configuration * Third Party Administrator experience Soft Skills: * Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product and handle competing priorities * Able to work independently with little supervision and the ability to self-assign tasks Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
