My client has a new position open and is looking for a stellar Financial Analyst that has a strong cost background, this is a very visible position poised for great growth potential.
Client looking for someone who is starting their career out and wants to get involved in the business analysis of operations, shop floor, sales teams.Great compensation and excellent international companyBS in Accounting or Finance required.CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience.Plus 1 to 2 years Cost Accounting experience.To share some additional details, just so you are aware this candidate would not be a fit for my client.The candidate HAS to have an extremely strong background out of manufacturing industry, with strong cost accounting, and have some F/A experience within the General Account functions like getting into the financial statements, month-end close, debits, credits, journal entry, etc.Experience in an automated ERP environment required; experience with JD Edwards a plus.Excellent communication skills and business acumen.Ability to work independently, take charge, and implement changes within areas of responsibility.Month-end close responsibilities include recording journal entry adjustments for sales, cost of sales, freight, intercompany in transit inventory, purchase price and scrap variances, and inventory reconciliation book to perpetual differences.
Additionally calculate and analyze monthly manufacturing overhead rates.Prepare and record various non-routine journal entries as required.Prepare account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly reporting for the operations including, but not limited to margin analysis by project, productivity and efficiency of direct labor.
