We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role will be a key partner for internal clients. Responsible for providing financial partnership to various internal departments.

The primary responsibilities for this position may include assisting with preparation, consolidation and analysis of the annual departmental expense budget and multiyear operating expense plan, as well as general expense budgeting for specific areas of the business and periodic reforecasts. Other primary responsibilities include assisting with expense studies for determining allocations of operating expenses to line of business, product and legal entity, headcount tracking and forecasting, quarterly controls related to deferred acquisition expenses, and corporate and M&A project expense tracking and forecasting.

This position will play a critical role in supporting process improvements and other project work that results in process efficiencies, improved controls and more insightful analysis to our business leaders.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead expense budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Evolve and automate our existing financial models and reporting to scale the business and increase forecasting accuracy

  • Responsible for supporting company-wide expense management for the organization, including the preparation of the company's annual expense plan and related monthly forecasts

  • Prepare and present senior executive level expense analysis with a focus on providing insightful, value-added analysis that informs the business decisions and supports achievement of the Company's strategies/goals

  • Support department budget mangers with accounting and general ledger inquiries

  • Purchase order tracking and support

  • Lead and own the monthly business segment financial reporting for supported businesses, while ensuring both accuracy and timeliness

  • Proactively research any financial discrepancies or questions that arise, and effectively communicate findings with cross-functional team

  • Provide management with transparent, key financial data, trend information monthly as well as additional ad-hoc analysis on an as needed basis

  • Create strong business partner relationships with key stakeholders/budget owners

  • Manage expenses including labor, travel, cost of sales, capital investments, capitalized labor, etc.

  • Work with business to develop business cases for requested spend, ensuring incorporation of measurable metrics to validate results vs expectations

  • Identify risk areas and bring to the table opportunities to resolve them.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Abitilty to transform financial data into concise and accurate financial information that tells the story of the business.

  • Skill and comfort working in a growing and changing organization.

  • Strong technical skills with financial modeling, MS Office Applications, and high level of comfort creating analyses from multiple data sources

  • Excellent business partnering skills with focus on consulting and influencing mindset with demonstrated leadership ability

  • Use appropriate judgement in dealing with unexpected issues and requests, demonstrating an ability to prioritize work, and balance resource requirements to achieve solutions

  • Demonstrate strong technical understanding of the accounting for expense including company policies and business knowledge to be able to verify and analyze information under review.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.

  • Able to build productive working relationships internally and externally and work as a team.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency.

  • Technically proficient - advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI. Experience with Netsuite preferred. Experience with Adaptive Insights preferred.

  • Able to accomplish individual and team goals through personal organization and time management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.

  • 3+ years relevant experience, including full P&L management and forecasting

  • Industry experience in SaaS, Software, Technology or other high growth, fast-paced organization preferred.

  • Experience with multi-dimensional databases. Experience with Adaptive and NetSuite preferred.

  • Experience with sales commissions strongly desired

  • Located and working from an office location, when required.

  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.)

  • Frequent sitting and/or standing
