The Finance/Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the treasury function of the organization by assisting with cash management, financial risk analysis, and treasury operations. This position involves conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and assisting in the implementation of treasury strategies to optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risks.

Responsibilities

Cash Management:

  • Assist in monitoring daily cash balances and cash flow forecasts.

  • Process cash transactions, including wire transfers, deposits, and disbursements.

  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies or variances.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct analysis of financial data, including cash flow projections, liquidity analysis, and variance analysis.

  • Assist in assessing financial risks, such as interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and credit risk.

  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key financial metrics and trends.

Treasury Operations:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of treasury policies and procedures.

  • Assist in managing relationships with banks and financial service providers.

  • Help administer treasury systems and tools, including treasury management systems (TMS) and electronic banking platforms.

Risk Management:

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating financial risks and opportunities.

  • Participate in the development and execution of risk mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor market conditions and regulatory developments impacting treasury operations.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and disclosures related to treasury activities.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and analysis.

Ad Hoc Projects and Analysis:

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to treasury and finance.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research as requested by management.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the treasury function.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, treasury, or related field; experience in corporate treasury is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of treasury operations, cash management techniques, and financial instruments.

  • Familiarity with banking platforms, treasury management systems (TMS), and financial software applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
