Responsibilities

Job Title- Finance Analyst

Performs research and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements. May also perform analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Develops and implements fiscal operating policies and procedures. Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment.

May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or brand. Defines and develops key performance indicators; analyzing and interpreting financial and operational performance, and tracks key operational objectives and strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business units. Analyzes financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making financial decisions. Assembles spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.

Reviews and analyzes monthly corporate and business unit financial statements, and quarterly and annual financial data in support of the SEC filings, as well as preparation of internal management analyses. May also coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements. Researches new policies and regulations and projects the effect that the same could have on the Company and its financials. Responsible for evaluating the risk in portfolio decisions, forecasting potential losses, and deciding how to curb potential losses and volatility using diversification, currency futures, derivatives, short selling, and other investment decisions. Instrumental in helping clients minimize or eliminate financial risks that could be detrimental towards business goals.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain extensive knowledge of Finance procedures and policies specific to the area of assignment

  • Ability to use financial systems as information management and decision support tools; ability to understand and utilize the data retrieved from the tools.

  • Ability to obtain extensive knowledge of Finance procedures and policies specific to the area of assignment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Review financial activity and accrue expenses as needed in support of financial statements.

Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts to identify and resolve all complex discrepancies.

  • Gather and analyze financial data from various systems, and create and present reports to senior managers and make recommendations.

  • Work in numerous financial systems.

Education-

  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or
  • 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or
  • 5 to 7 years with PhD.

As a Network Operations Technical Support Specialist, you will ensure that the Peraton Communications Sector's network and customers are monitored to pro-actively identify and prevent potential incidents. You will be responsible for ensuring that incidents are managed effectively through the execution of the established incident management process, with a focus on ticket management quality, and effective escalation and communications in a 24x7x365 fast-paced customer support environment. The position will report to the Peraton Communications Sector's Network Operations Center Manager. The Peraton Communications Sector provides innovative, reliable communications solutions to the nation's most sensitive and mission-critical programs and systems. As a trusted provider of highly differentiated secure communications capabilities, the Peraton Communications Sector is a critical partner to the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and select federal agencies and commercial entities. Responsibilities What you will do… * Provide Tier I and II support of network issues, trouble calls and incidents. * Perform initial troubleshooting, diagnosis and capture of incident information. * Determine when Tier III resources are needed and if necessary, coordinate for action. * Oversee and track the maintenance schedule to ensure completion and minimize downtime. * Provide advice, training, and initial basic troubleshooting to end users. * Troubleshoot and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. * Compile reports of outages, trends and analysis of pertinent health information of IT Systems. * Set up administrator and service accounts and maintain system documentation. * Monitor and report SolarWinds alarms, as well as alarms from the network Optical, TDM, and routers -- work with Engineering for corrective actions. * Perform routine and corrective maintenance on network elements. * Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers. * Triage and troubleshoot complex networking, system, and application issues. This may include coordinating with third-party vendors, customer contacts, internal escalation teams or other resources within Peraton to reach a holistic solution to resolve network and customer specific issues as quickly as possible. * Be responsible for accurate incident ticket updates and timely communication during the life-cycle of the incident ticket, both internally and externally. * Work rotating shifts in a 24x7x365 environment, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts to maintain coverage as needed.
