Position Overview:

As a Financial Analyst in FP&A, the position will be responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of financial data and information. Analyzing, forecasting and tracking of spending and variances will be critical in this role, along with an understanding of past performance and future expectations. This role will support department budgeting and help to drive decision making at numerous levels. Business partners will look to this role for direction and support in understanding how business units are performing and how they should proceed going forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting of organizational and department operating expenses

  • Perform variance and trend analysis to identify historical and future trends and interpret findings to partners

  • Collect, analyze and publish monthly financial performance data

  • Work with business partners and accounting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting of month end close

  • Perform monthly consolidation of worldwide forecasts ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Produce and distribute monthly forecast packages including CFO package

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators

  • Prepare royalty statements and calculations of required payments and ensure timely filing of required documentation

  • Prepare financial statements and other financial reports as needed

  • Assist in developing documents and reports for partners, executives and board of directors including financial scorecards and commentary

  • Support internal and external team members with regular financial reporting and metrics, as well as, ad-hoc financial analysis and projects

  • Translate financial results into operational recommendations to drive long term growth and efficiencies across the business

Qualifications:

  • In depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels across organization

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • 3+ years relevant experience

  • Bachelors level degree in related field such as Finance and Accounting

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Familiarity with financial reporting software

  • Experience working with large amounts of data

  • Knowledge of monthly close process

  • Annual budget planning experience

  • Experience maintaining and adhering to an FP&A calendar
