Financial Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities

• Continuously drive the improvement of systems and processes to gain efficiencies, reduce errors and ensure records are complete and recorded accurately and on a timely basis

• Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and government regulations

• Project management/implementation support for a variety of upcoming initiatives

• Preparation and review of inputs for the monthly bank reporting (Borrowing Base Certificate and Compliance Certificate)

• Prepare the monthly financial statement consolidation

• Analyze month end results against budget, prior period, and trending

• Prepare/Review balance sheet reconciliations including resolving reconciling items on a timely basis

• Prepare inventory reconciliation and ownership of process improvement for inventory reporting.

• Prepare/review and post other journal entries at month end

• Cross train amongst the team for month-end close activities

• Respond to inquiries about month end financial statements from management

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• CPA Designation and Post-secondary education in Business, Finance or Accounting.

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Word, Outlook, Excel (pivot tables & vlookups)

• Experience with NetSuite would be an asset
