Develops monthly and quarterly forecasts, and completes regular analysis of actual results against the forecast. Develops and presents information to finance and program management.

Collaborates with multiple functional organizations as a finance partner. Runs a variety of weekly / monthly reports in support of recurring analysis. Reconciles data discrepancies and corrects errors in cost charging.

Participates in regular meetings and proactively supports the daily activities of the areas of responsibility. Troubleshoots process and tool issues and determines root cause, then recommends solutions or refers to appropriate organization for resolution.


Skills & Experience Required Skills & Experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of experience in Finance, Forecast Planning, Financial Analytics, and/or Cost Accounting Strong MS Office Suite, including Excel & PowerPoint Strong communication skills Must have the ability to prioritize & manage multiple deliverables and deadlines Ability to work outside of regular business hours during heavy cycle times SAP experience

The Risk Analyst role is a challenging opportunity to learn the complexities of commodity risk finance utilizing strong problem solving and communication skills and a focus on process improvement. The candidate will have the opportunity to partner with senior risk management leaders to support key initiatives and drive process efficiencies. This is a great next step for an ambitious finance professional. This role requires an enthusiastic hands-on and can-do individual who has solid accounting and/or finance background, enjoys making improvements (large and small), and is able to effectively partner with senior leaders. Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate a proficiency to streamline processes, effectively prioritize competing objectives, demonstrate a natural curiosity, and have the desire to gain a deep understanding of processes to build business acumen. It is important to be comfortable with change and challenge the status quo by offering new ideas and business insights. Principal Accountabilities 70% Financial Analysis, Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: * Supports the development and creation of effective Protein Group position and P&L reporting. * Supports the implementation of shared services optimization within the commodity risk team. * Participates in efforts to identify and apply process simplification, in addition to standardization and improvement. * Provides input to more senior members of the team for improvements and process consistency. * Assists in efforts to ensure controls and compliance measures are in place for all related risk reporting information. * Assists in establishing the on-going development of risk reporting that supports the business decisions and strategic goals. * Leverages process and technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency. * Executes daily and monthly foreign currency and mark to market reporting, and own development of processes to Standardize and streamline reporting. * Partners with Cargill's Commodity Markets Compliance Group in establishing first-line compliance monitoring, and facilitates training with business counterparts on monitoring processes and changes. 15% Risk Position Reporting: * Monitor and ensure compliance with trading regulatory requirements and perform required regulatory reporting. * Assist with training on different areas subject to compliance and regulations. * Analyze end to end position reporting procedures and help develop more efficient, controlled procedures. * Prepare timely position and P&L reporting to support daily trading and commercial activities. * Execute daily trade reconciliations to ensure accurate derivative reporting. * Manage position data for downstream risk reporting and analysis. * Adherence to agree upon financial reporting deadlines and company policies. 15% Business Partnering: * Help develop key financial risk measures to support the business such as month-end management reporting results and analysis, regulatory reporting, position reporting, and forex reporting. * Collaborate with team members in reviewing results and providing management reporting results to finance partners. * Provide efficient and effective delivery of timely submissions of reports and deliver high quality services to the business. * Respond to ad hoc requests from FP&A, enterprise, and business. * Ensure best practices and lessons learned are systematically captured and shared across the team. * Identify risk in key processes. Work with key stakeholders to escalate, develop mitigating actions to ensure that the day to day processes will occur without impact to the accounting operations. * Partner with internal customers to develop analysis that lead to actionable insights that improve business decision making, performance, and business growth.
