Job Summary:

Singer Industrial is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Operations and Finance Team. The Financial Analyst will work closely with our teams and offer support in coordination of accounting, financial reporting, financial management, and budgeting efforts.

We do this with a robust line of fluid power, hose & fittings, belts, seals & gaskets, pneumatic and automation products and field services.

This role will begin as a remote position but will transition to an in-office position located in Dallas, Texas in the coming months.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

  • Help prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data

  • Identify and implement efficiency opportunities

  • Lead process improvement projects

  • Drive special projects as needed within the team and with others outside of the immediate group

  • Work collaboratively with Teams across all functional areas of finance and operations

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documented systems of accounting policies and procedures

  • Gather, analyze & interpret product cost, financial, statistical, and technical date

  • Supervise individual cost request timing, manage the process to meet established timing

  • Prepare, analyze, and present business cases to the supervisor for review

  • Analysis of specific product cost, comparable product comparisons, review of multiple inputs and verification of accuracy

  • Plan and coordinate required cross-functional meetings to review progress on individual projects

  • Support special analysis as needed

  • Support Month-End close process as needed

  • Maintain financial and operational controls and processes in accordance with external and internal financial policies and regulations. Ensuring proper documentation is in place

  • Continuously reviewing for process improvement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 2 + years of Financial and Data Analytical experience within a Manufacturing or Distribution organization.

  • Excel, SQL, ERP Systems and MS Access knowledge

  • Ability to create and analyze financial reports

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; clear, concise, and professional with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of personnel including Leadership

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision, and complete complex tasks

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required

  • Experience with Power BI is a plus
