The Opportunity:

The Financial Analyst will be a member of the Sephora BP&A team, assisting with forecasting, financial reporting, planning and analysis for the Technology organization. This key role offers high visibility working directly with senior leaders and has room for growth in a dynamic team with a great culture. Essential duties and responsibilities include monthly variance analysis, adjustments to forecast models, maintaining ongoing financial reporting deliverables and involvement in ad-hoc projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager with managing the monthly close, budget/forecast for operating expenses

• Attend monthly close meetings, assist with the booking of accruals, reconcile budget and forecast variances to actual results, and prepare variance reports

• Partner with Finance (including Accounting and other BP&A members) and Departmental business partners to effectively manage all finance activities

• Monitor and review expense trends, and communicate any trends, issues or key risks in a timely fashion

• Prepare materials for monthly expense reviews with business partners to track actuals and develop and maintain monthly forecast

• Perform ad hoc analysis to drive data decision making for the leadership team

• Identify and recommend process improvements as appropriate

Skills and Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

• 2 - 3 years of Finance experience

• Intermediate accounting knowledge required

• Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

• Excel financial modeling skills and Financial Systems, SAP, Anaplan knowledge is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner cross functionally with all levels of the organization

• Strict attention to detail, be a motivated self-starter with an ability to set and meet tight deadlines

• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,155.00 - $108,585.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
