To support our continued growth, Amazon seeks a self-starting Financial Analyst to join the US Consumer Finance team. This is a great opportunity for a Finance leader to shape the Selling Partner Development team by providing financial analysis and dive deep support. This business manages a multi-billion dollar portfolio of mid/tail selling partners and focuses on increasing Prime-eligible selection.

A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. They should be a fast learner who can be analytical in their decision-making with a demonstrated ability to drive issues and projects to completion. They will work cross-functionally with several business teams including vendor management, business intelligence, program management, and various technology teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support in this rapidly evolving space.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Financial modeling and analytical support to validate financial and operational results of process improvement efforts for business optimization initiatives

  • Enabling effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

  • Analyzing and solving business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities

  • Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability

  • Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing

  • Supporting long and short term financial planning processes

  • Leading ad hoc financial analyses and new business development initiatives

  • Publishing weekly and monthly financial and operational performance metrics
