We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission-driven organization and support strategic decision-making through data analysis and financial expertise.
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate budget information, developing financial models, and providing analysis to support decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met and budgets are effectively managed.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
2-3 years of accounting or financial planning/budget experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Access, and ability to work with ERP systems.
An understanding of mathematical formulas (statistical analysis) used in financial modeling is required.
Maturing and contagious Christian faith, knowledge of and the willingness to actively support the Christian mission of the University and accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
Preferred Qualifications
Major coursework in data science or information technology.
Experience with ERP implementation and financial planning cloud-based software.
Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred.
Additional Information:
Position will remain open until filled. After an initial training period, this position may be allowed to work a hybrid schedule, arranged with the department. Employee must reside in the state of Washington.
Compensation: $29.81 - $31.25 per hour, DOE
This is a full time position with excellent benefits. SPU pays the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. SPU makes generous contributions to an employee HSA account and a 7% contribution to a retirement account, for eligible employees, with immediate vesting in the plan. Tuition discount program (50% - 90%) available for the employee and qualified immediate family members.
