Sunrise Management, a growing multi state Property Management Company, has an immediate opening for a Payroll Manager to work at our Corporate Office in San Diego.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Accounting, Operations and Human Resources while leveraging their outstanding Excel skills and experience.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and data based information on company's profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity. This position will research and analyze financial information to help Sunrise Management make well informed decisions, create reports, and monitor financial movements.
This is a Full-time position with a competitive compensation based on experience. Job Duties Include But Not Limited To:
Analyzing and allocating employee expenses to the correct GL codes
Troubleshooting and correcting adjusting journal entries/financial statements
Evaluation of existing accounting procedures with view toward process improvement
Analysis of inter company accounts to correct accounts and balances
Ensure G/L line items are appropriately coded
Post journal entry adjustments as necessary for various entities
Monthly reconciliation and financial statement preparation
Prepares and enters payroll related journal entries
Reconciles payroll related general ledger accounts
Creates and maintains complex excel worksheets
Assists Controller and Accounting Department with special projects.
Expert Microsoft Excel skills (A MUST)
BS in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in reporting, accounting and financial analysis.
Working knowledge of either Yardi, Realpage or Appfolio and ADP preferred
Knowledge of property management, property level accounting preferred
Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects to completion
Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures.
Experience developing, updating, and managing large budget spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
Requires strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles and the ability to comprehend and interpret complex financial transactions. Must be very detail-oriented and able to provide accurate analytical results.
Expertise in building Excel-based financial models, with an emphasis on aggregating and analyzing data to provide actionable insights
