Our client, located in the Inland Empire, is an American icon, a global leader, and has built a worldwide influence in the manufacturing and distribution of consumer product goods, is looking for an astute Financial Analyst. Reporting to Plant Controller, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial activities consistent with regular financial cycles (Close the books, Budget establishment), assist in the communication of results to Operations partners and influence the decision making of the operations team, by providing insight from a business perspective.


Requirements: Degree in Finance or Accounting (Master degree a plus). Conversant with Month end close activities including preparation of journal entries. Strong analytical/modeling skills. Evaluate projects using financial tools such as ROI, NPV, etc. Perform financial variance analyses of the operations metrics and make recommendations regarding proper accounting treatment. Establish robust cost reduction intake and monitoring process; contribute to cost reduction ideation for the plant. Take the lead with regards to improving and maintaining our forecasting and budgeting tools and processes. Knowledge of manufacturing accounting (GAAP) SAP experience preferred/Strong Excel Skills/Hyperion Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment Self ?motivated and a self ? starter with track record of delivering process improvements and impactful results. Duties & Responsibilities: Under broad supervision, provide financial support an analysis to NSWC Corona Comptroller personnel on Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) information, policies, or data that could impact business processes. Specific duties are as follows: * Perform audits by sampling data * Provide data to auditors upon request * Ensure that processes are implemented in accordance with policy and that these processes are audited, especially in the area of travel and incoming funding documents * Ensure the quality and integrity of the data * Provide recommendations on corrective actions, data cleansing, and audit automation Required Qualifications: Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Final Secret Clearance is required prior to on-boarding. Education. Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting). Four additional years of experience can be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree. Experience. Must have at least four (4) years of related experience in business and financial management. Experience in interpreting policies is required. Audit experience is highly desired. Experience using Navy ERP or an SAP-based enterprise financial system is desired. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Must work well independently; have the ability to interface with customers in senior/executive level positions.
