We are recruiting for a sharp Financial Analyst for a large, commercial real estate firm located in LA, CA. The firm is currently 100% remote. Competitive base plus overtime at 1.5X and discretionary bonus. Excellent benefits and culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for updating and maintaining property-level Argus projections and other aspects of the Companys corporate REIT earnings projection model, including the following:

o Prepare and distribute strategy call notes

o Process leasing assumption changes in Argus

o Review executed and draft leases for accurate interpretation of the leasing terms in Argus

o Periodic rollup of projection data from Argus into the projection model

o Periodic upload of projection data into JD Edward and perform subsequent analyses

Prepare financial and significant lease assumption analyses

Perform accounting and peer research when required

Analyze and forecast various operating and financial metrics

Responsible for various finance and special projects

Communicate with the Accounting Department and Regional Asset Managers on any variances or issues identified

Assist the Financial Reporting team with quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including the preparation of various financial reporting schedules

Perform property level and ad-hoc analyses

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred

2+ years of related experience preferred

Public accounting experience highly preferred

Real estate background is a plus

Understanding of leasing highly preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Advanced Excel skills is a plus

GAAP knowledge is preferred

Experience of JD Edwards is a plus

Experience of Argus is a plus

May monitor department budgets by reviewing data in the financial system and communicating with the managers/chiefs. May investigate and correct budget errors. Prepares advanced financial trend and data analysis reports. May be accountable for the coordination, compilation and distribution of financial data by junior staff. Participates in the development of regional/or functional budgets. May be responsible for entry in budget system with accuracy. Performs ad-hoc projects/studies of moderate scope utilizing knowledge of finance theories such as present value and cash flow analysis. Conducts ongoing user education and provides management consultation on the use reports, methodologies and source data and systems. Communicates and supports analytical findings. Identifies and recommends process improvements. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed. Complexity: Works under general guidance; accountable to complete work assignments. Span of Control: May provide functional direction to Finance Assistant staff or junior level analyst staff. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum two (2) years related experience in financial analysis and budgeting. Education Bachelor's degree in finance related field; or four (4) years of directly related experience. High School Diploma or General Eduation Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration N/A Additional Requirements: Required proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications, including advanced functions such as graphics, pivot tables, and macros. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving and organization skills. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred Qualifications: Database management preferred. Facility/Provider Payment Rates analysis, understanding of Per Diems, case rates, fee schedules, Medicare (MS-DRG, APD, ASC) etc. Able to understand Provider Claims Data/Coding Primary Location: California,Pasadena,Regional Offices-Walnut 393 E.
