We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in Fredericksburg, VA to help our organization grow and move into the future.

Financial Analyst Job Purpose:
To utilize strong analytic capabilities to help Financial Planning & Analysis and Sales & Marketing teams formulate strategies to optimize pricing, sales goals and revenue opportunities to grow the business. This role will focus on delivery of analytic findings and building our pricing models to drive business outcomes in a consistent manner. The Financial Analyst uses a combination of data and analytical skills along with a strong understanding of pricing strategies and sales/marketing programs. Ideal candidate should be able to effectively translate data into actionable analytical insights and use data and analytics to tell a persuasive story. This is an individual contributor role.


  • Work with the sales and marketing team and pricing software to build and maintain pricing models for all of our products.

  • Manage the market pricing for 120 cardlock locations

  • Working with business partners to scope analytics projects including identifying resources and assets needed, determining analysis approach, conducting analysis, and describing business implications based on findings

  • Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project lifecycle including data extraction/preparation, analysis and presentation of results

  • Pro-actively analyzing data to uncover insights that increase business value and impact

  • Approaching analytical problems with an appropriate blend of statistical/mathematical rigor with practical business intuition; Approaching analyses in multiple ways in order to evaluate approaches and compare results

  • Holding a point-of-view on the strengths and limitations of statistical models and analyses in various business contexts and is able to evaluate and effectively communicate the uncertainty or limitations in the results

  • Partnering with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate our efforts

  • Supporting development of tools and infrastructure to scale operations, increase efficiencies, and improve quality of results


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills required; experience with SQL and Prophix or similar CPM software preferred

  • Experience utilizing software systems to query, analyze, and report financial, volume, and customer related data

  • Ability to think creatively and translate numbers into meaningful reporting and recommendations

  • Exceptional organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • Two to three years of experience in financial analysis including operational budgeting

  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision, and ethics

  • Able to interact effectively with all departments and levels of management

  • Strong work ethic with high level of dependability
