Providence is calling a Financial Analyst (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland,OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets for the assigned entity/division. Timely and accurate preparation of assigned budget(s) for final submission to System Office. A variety of software tools are interactively used to produce budgets, departmental operating statements and other financial analyses.(Financial Planning)
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity and structure required to support the Decision Support System data base for financial analysis and patient activity by developing and documenting procedures utilized to perform audits. Support user requests for information as directed. Develop and maintain user reference documentation.(Decision Support Financial/Clinical)
  • Responsible for completion of special projects for Providence Health System. Projects may include financial analyses, support for financial planning and decision support, financial modeling and other studies. The degree of accountability and responsibility for any project is at a high level. The position requires strong communication, analytical and effective project management skills.(Special Projects)

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Business Administration; -OR- equivalent educ/experience

  • 3 years experience in

Healthcare finance, data analysis

  • 1 year of budget experience. (Financial Planning, Decision Support/Financial).

  • 3 years experience in

Healthcare data analysis

  • 1 year of experience with patient data. (Decision Support/Clinical).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 year of budget experience. (Financial Planning, Decision Support/Financial).

  • 1 year of experience with patient data. (Decision Support/Clinical).

This position is located in the Debt and Liquidity Management (FTL) organization of Financial Strategy and Operations (FT), Finance (F), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As a Financial Analyst, you will: * Plan, organize, and lead projects, studies, and analyses of considerable scope and depth critical to the resolution of cash and treasury management issues. * Use initiative and resourcefulness in researching and implementing new and improved methods and procedures to resolve cash and treasury management issues. * Perform complex data analysis and produce quality financial data which supports business and strategic decision-making and provide expert and authoritative advice to all levels of management on the application of financial principles and diffiult cash and treasury management issues. * Establishe communications and discussions between key process stakeholders; represent Cash and Treasury Management, Treasury, Finance, and the BPA in conferences and meetings; lead or participate in interagency and intra-agency committees and working groups for resolving critical problems requiring innovative solutions; and maintain continuing relationships with managers and employees, financial service provider representatives, and Federal officials from other Government agencies. * Analyze existing financial policy and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting, statutory, regulatory and audit requirements. * Develop new or revises existing policy and procedures to ensure relevance and currency and address or resolve financial issues, especially in the areas of cash and treasury management. * Lead development of and recommend Federal debt management strategies to management.
